Watercolor painting. Nyx on the top left is the godess of the night in the grec mythology. Her son (or not depending of the versions of the legend) Hypnos on the top right was the one that made the gods fall asleep with poppy flowers (on the bottom). Nyx and Hypnos had 10 childrens : the oneirois (kings of the dream). One of them is morphee (on the bottom right), he is the most famous of them. This painting has been made for a countest, on the theme of sleep and breath. The character that seems to dive has a smily face as we can see on his reflect on the moon. He is confortable diving in this oxygenated water under the carring look of the gods.
